Located in the vibrant Taman Ungku Tun Aminah district, 皇后大道东茶室 Qzway Cafe is a delightful cafe that embodies the unique culinary character of Johor Bahru. As you step inside, the warm ambiance, punctuated by buzzing laughter and the aromatic allure of delicious food, sets the stage for a promising dining experience.

This cafe specializes in a mix of local favorites, with an emphasis on hearty Malaysian flavors. Among the standout dishes, the Curry Fish Head has caught the attention of many patrons, making it a must-try at an affordable RM18.80. Expect a rich, spiced gravy that envelops tender fish head pieces, though some have noted that it could benefit from a little more coconut milk to achieve a more fragrant depth.

If you're feeling adventurous, the bamboo salted egg tofu is a definite highlight, offering a delightful texture that melts in your mouth, while the fried sotong is praised for its crispy exterior and savory flavor. However, exercise caution with the Thai style sotong, which received mixed reviews for its less-than-ideal taste and smell, suggesting a preference for the fried version instead.

Despite these variations in dishes, customer reviews reflect an overall satisfactory experience at Qzway Cafe. Angela Reeves remarked on the deliciousness of their signature tofu, while Tan Bing Yan commented on the substantial portions and the decent quality of the squid. It seems that while the cafe has its quirks, the charm of its offerings and the diner's enjoyment seem well worth the visit.

The inviting decor and friendly service further enhance the experience, making it a spot where locals gather not just to enjoy good food but to connect with each other. If you're in Johor Bahru and looking for a casual yet comforting dining ambiance, 皇后大道东茶室 Qzway Cafe could be the perfect cafe to unwind and indulge your taste buds.

Coming for their promo food Curry Fish Head, cost RM18.80 only. Their signature bamboo salted egg tofu is good. But first try the Thai style sotong quite bad, smell bad and difficult to bite not recommend. Better order fried sotong.

By the way, overall experience is okay, just the food: 1. Curry fish head not enough coconut milk (The reason why it might not fragrant enough)around healthy perspective, it’s still can be acceptable 2. The vegetable maybe not much tasty (It feels like lots of vegetables was cook together and left all of them alone) but in fact it is not, just taste issue 3. The squid is okay Large portion’s curry fish head: fill up with enough of ingredients and promotion price, so the total bill of our dinner still not much expensive, overall experience acceptable and might satisfied but still require improvement. Moreover, the situation of restaurant was only a few people on 05 May 2024 (4.30pm), that might led to the temperature of air conditional might not turned down to very cold, so when eating spicy food makes me sweat a lots. It is recommended to eat there when you have time to try out new tastes and new location to fill the stomach. -4 persons: per family -healthy flavour
